Call for proposals – Conception and development of online content for the 2023 Louvre Abu Dhabi Temporary Exhibitions Program

EXPO 2022-13

France Muséums general context

Under the terms of Article 10 of the Intergovernmental Agreement signed on 6 March 2007 between the Government of the French Republic and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, establishing the terms of the collaboration between the two States for the creation of Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum, the French Party is committed to organizing temporary exhibitions of international standards from the museum’s opening in 2017 and for 15 years, at the pace of four exhibitions per year.

To fulfil this objective, France Muséums is in charge of coordinating the expertise of French museums and acts on behalf of its partner in the UAE, the Department of Culture and Tourism, the organization in charge of realization of museum projects on the Saadiyat island in Abu Dhabi.

In 2023, France Muséums, together with Louvre Abu Dhabi and the French partner museums will organize three exhibitions.

Object of the tender

In order to make the Louvre Abu Dhabi’s temporary exhibitions accessible to a wide audience and to offer a genuine online experience, France Muséums has been developing since 2019 a series of dedicated online contents, accessible through Louvre Abu Dhabi’s website and social medias.

The online contents aim at providing complementary information about the exhibition as well as an ad hoc experience to online visitors. For the 2023 Temporary Exhibitions Program, France Muséums aims at renewing the online experience proposed, and is seeking for an experienced and specialized service provider. Within this framework, the selected service provider will be responsible for creating a common editorial line for these three 2023 exhibitions and for developing a set of episodic editorial formats on different media for each exhibition (articles, videos, podcasts, webseries etc.).
