France Muséums participates in Expo 2020 Dubai

France Muséums challenges the museum as a key player in sustainability at Expo 2020 Dubai.

As an international museum consultancy, France Muséums participates in Expo 2020 Dubai in the France Pavilion and organises, during the creative week, “Les Rencontres” by France Muséums, a day dedicated to imagine the future concept of museums, their role and their place in our society.

Will museums of tomorrow be more sustainable, innovative, and accessible?

Les Rencontres by France Muséums

France Muséums accompanies and guides international project leaders with rigor and passion in redefining and evolving the role and responsibility of museums in building a more accessible, inclusive and sustainable world.

In this context, France Muséums attends the Universal Exhibition in Dubai to debate on the museums of tomorrow, the values they uphold and their role in translating major future challenges into opportunities. Dedicated to professionals, project leaders and to the general public, Les Rencontres by France Muséums is planned on January 15th and structured around several highlights on the sustainable museum and innovative museum experiences, particularly those linked to digital technology.

These events will allow professional encounters marked by a dedicated symposium bringing together renowned high-level experts and leaders from the French and international museum sector, an interactive masterclass to build concepts and tools to innovate and design the visitor experience of tomorrow, as well as creative workshops inviting young visitors to question the role of museums in a playful and stimulating way.

France Muséums and Expo 2020 Dubai

‘Connecting Minds and Creating the Future’ is the theme chosen by the United Arab Emirates for the Expo 2020 Dubai. This topic strongly resonates within a variety of sectors including economic, politic, technologic and cultural. When institutions are redefining their role, France Muséums invites experts and leaders, inside the French Pavilion, to question the museum as a key player in sustainability and to imagine innovative museum experiences.

Considering the challenges of our time, the environmental and societal concerns, France Muséums works on new fields of expression to reach new audiences and make culture accessible to a wider range of visitors. These concepts are also at the heart of the ambitions of the France Pavilion, whose motto ‘France, Lightspeed Inspiration’ bears witness to France’s commitment to building the future and reflects this desire to work with cultural organizations to highlight universal works of the mind and French museum savoir-faire.

The detailed program of these meetings will soon be available on the News section of our website.
